"Paso" describes the extreme cold after the water in the barangay's creek. "de Blas" is a combination of "madulas" meaning slippery and St. Blaise which is the patron saint of the barangay. They celebrate their fiesta every February 3 and are famous for their palabok or noodle dish. Some famous landmarks include the meat factory, CDO.
