A Sure Win for the Future

Quality and Inclusive Education for Every Valenzuelano

A Promising Future for Every Valenzuelano Through Education

Valenzuela remains steadfast in its dedication to fulfilling the educational needs of its residents. This further demonstrates the city’s unwavering commitment that no one must be left behind when it comes to learning. With this, Valenzuela consistently receives recognition for its education-related initiatives such as the Galing Pook Award and Synergeia Foundation’s Seal of Good Education. Viewing education as a priority, the city government gained prominence for its programs throughout the years, such as the “WIN ang Edukasyon Program” in 2008 and the Education 360 Degrees Investment Program launched in 2014. Today, the city government builds upon its previous successes, continuously investing in its people through quality education.
Education 360 Degrees Investment Program

Other than the continuous provision of free school supplies, nutrition and feeding programs, and the addition of new classrooms, the Education 360° Investment Program also includes a combination of projects such as the Summer Reading Camp for children, Teaching Camp and Teacher Aide’s Camp for teachers, and the Nanay-Teacher Camp for the parents. This systematic and holistic program promotes inclusivity with the Special Education Center and offers second-chance learning through the Alternative Learning System (ALS).
Continuously Transforming Lives Through Education

The Valenzuela City Academic Center for Excellence (ValACE), which opened in February 2023, is a state-of-the-art facility that houses the Valenzuela City Library, Teacher Training Halls, ValSPED Annex and Gallery, Valenzuela Arts Education Office, and the Education 360 Office. ValACE represents a confluence of intellectual pursuits, learning, inclusivity, and creativity.

In the heart of Valenzuela City, a beacon of knowledge and excellence shines brightly - Our Lady of Fatima University (OLFU). What once humbly stood as Our Lady of Fatima Hospital turned into a highly esteemed medical complex. OLFU has etched its name as a revered educational institution in the country, renowned for its exceptional paramedical and non-paramedical programs. In 2019, OLFU inaugurated the first science and technology hub in Valenzuela called the Research, Innovation, Science and Enterprise (RISE) Tower– a modern facility that houses simulation laboratories and collaborative areas equipped with advanced equipment and technologies.
Valenzuela Special Education Center (VALSPED)

Breaking through the first barrier and taking the most important step— the first step towards inclusivity. Valenzuela City believes that we are all equal and “no one should be left behind.” VALSPED, a public special education school, is a one-stop shop for PWDs seeking a holistic approach to their well-being. By bringing together a team of professionals from different disciplines, VALSPED fosters the growth of essential life skills and social development, empowering individuals to lead fulfilling lives.

As the first locally-funded SPED center in the country, VALSPED can accommodate almost 1,000 special children from public schools enrolled in occupational, physical, and speech therapy sessions, early intervention care, and job transition skills programs. Additionally, job coaches work hard to enhance their skills and maximize their chosen sources of income, such as handcrafting, painting, cartooning, baking, and tailoring. The Center also unveiled cutting-edge facilities, such as an aqua therapy pool and a gross motor development area.
